Job Overview:
We are seeking a talented Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team and safeguard our IT
infrastructure and data from security threats. As a cybersecurity engineer, you will be responsible for protecting our network, systems, and applications from attacks and ensuring compliance with security policies and regulations. This role requires expertise in threat analysis, risk management, and incident response.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and manage security measures to protect the company’s network,
systems, and applications.
• Monitor network traffic for potential security breaches and identify threats.
• Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing.
• Develop, implement, and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Respond to security incidents, investigate breaches, and develop strategies to mitigate future risks.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure deployment and configuration of systems.
• Manage firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and other security tools.
• Ensure the organization complies with relevant security regulations and frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001).
• Stay updated on the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and technologies to improve
systems and processes.
• Provide security awareness training to employees and ensure adherence to security best
practices.
• Perform risk assessments and vulnerability management to identify and mitigate security
risks.
• Assist in the development and execution of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Report security incidents, recommend improvements, and ensure continuous monitoring.
Key Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Cybersecurity Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of network security, application security, and system security.
• Experience with security tools such as firewalls, anti-virus software, IDS/IPS, and SIEM tools.
• Familiarity with security standards and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS, PCI-DSS).
• Knowledge of encryption technologies, secure network protocols, and secure software
development practices.
• Experience with incident response and handling data breaches.
• Familiarity with cloud security principles and securing cloud environments (AWS, Azure,
GCP).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to investigate and mitigate security threats.
• Excellent communication skills to report security findings and collaborate with cross-
functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or CISM.
• Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and securing cloud-based applications and data.
• Hands-on experience with penetration testing and vulnerability scanning tools.
• Knowledge of scripting and automation (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
• Familiarity with multi-factor authentication, VPN, and secure identity management.
• Experience in securing DevOps pipelines and integrating security into the CI/CD process
(DevSecOps).
