Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Snowflake Data Engineer to join our team and help design, implement, and manage data pipelines and ETL processes using Snowflake data warehousing technology. The ideal candidate will have expertise in data engineering, cloud data platforms, and Snowflake architecture. This position will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of data across multiple platforms and deliver actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain Snowflake data models, data pipelines, and ETL processes to support analytical and business intelligence needs.
• Work with stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver data solutions using Snowflake as the data warehousing platform.
• Implement efficient data integration processes, transforming raw data into structured and easily accessible formats in Snowflake.
• Collaborate with teams to optimize the Snowflake environment for performance, cost
efficiency, and scalability.
• Ensure seamless data ingestion from diverse sources such as relational databases, APIs,
cloud storage, and other external systems into Snowflake.
• Develop SQL queries, stored procedures, and other scripts to manipulate and extract data efficiently within Snowflake.
• Implement data governance practices in Snowflake, ensuring data quality, consistency,
security, and compliance.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize the performance of Snowflake queries and data models to handle large-scale data loads.
• Automate repetitive tasks and streamline workflows by integrating Snowflake with other
platforms and tools such as ETL tools, BI tools, and data lakes.
• Build and maintain automated data pipelines for continuous data loading and
transformation.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for data issues, optimizing processes, and
ensuring data availability for business users.
• Stay up to date with the latest Snowflake features, best practices, and industry trends to
ensure cutting-edge solutions.
Key Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a
related field.
• Proven experience as a Snowflake Data Engineer, Data Engineer, or similar role, with hands- on experience in Snowflake data modeling and architecture.
• Strong proficiency in SQL for writing complex queries and creating efficient data models in Snowflake.
• Experience in developing and managing ETL pipelines and data pipelines using Snowflake, Apache Airflow, dbt, or similar tools.
• Expertise in working with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud to deploy and integrate data solutions.
• Experience in optimizing Snowflake performance, including query optimization, partitioning, clustering, and resource management.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling techniques (e.g., star schema, snowflake schema).
• Knowledge of data integration tools such as Fivetran, Matillion, Talend, or Informatica.
• Experience with data security practices and implementing data governance and privacy
policies in a cloud environment.
• Familiarity with business intelligence (BI) tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker for
connecting to Snowflake for reporting purposes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize complex data queries.
